- Each year, the Kentucky Justice Association honors the outstanding trial lawyer with the "Peter Perlman Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award"
- Selected to University of Kentucky College of Law Alumni Hall of Fame, 1998
- An endowment scholarship was established in Peter’s name at the UK College of Law - this has provided scholarships for over 25 students
- He has won more than 50 multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements and presently concentrates on crashworthiness litigation. Peter frequently uses analogies, country music, proverbs and other similar methods to help tell the story to the jury.
- Received the President’s Award at the annual AIEG (lawyers specializing in crashworthiness cases) in 2009 and was recognized for his successful efforts to force General Motors and Chrysler to assume liability for all vehicles involved in collisions after bankruptcy.
- On May 5, 2010, Peter received the Henry T. Duncan Award from the Fayette County Bar Association at their 2010 Law Day Awards luncheon.
